5 weeks and beta #3

Baby's now the size of an appleseed!
Your embryo, which doesn't look like much more than a tadpole right now, is actually starting to form major organs (heart, kidney, liver, stomach) and systems (nervous, circulatory, digestive). Baby's presence in your uterus triggers production of HCG (the hormone detected by pregnancy tests), which triggers the production of other hormones like estrogen and progesterone, which triggers all those great symptoms you've probably been noticing!

Beta was 7155!!! I asked nurse Greta what it should be and she said around 4000 is what they would be looking for. Progesterone is 33.69. YAY!!!! Greta told me that all the nurses there are so excited and can't wait to see me next week. They are all fighting to do the u/s to see how many babies are in there. I think they agreed to all be in the room if it was ok with me which of course it is. They have all seen my vag so it really doesn't matter at this point. I just hope it's good news. As far as my #'s are looks like we'll be fine. ((praying))

Symptoms - well today i was nauseous alot. I think it may have been nerves though as i am feeling much better now. I hear nerves or stress can trigger morning sickness. I'm very tired today as well but i was awake at 3am because i was so nervous about today. I couldn't eat that much today which was a bummer to me as i like to get all my vitamins in as right now is the most important.

Other than that..not much else to report. We are extremely happy right now and feel very blessed to be pregnant. We have never even gotten a positive pregnancy test so we are pleased with how things are progressing.

Now, for all of you who voted for twins...you might be right. It's freaking me out a bit but due to my age 36 I think i'll be happy enough. Will just have to figure out our finances better. It'll be ramon noodles for for the next few years!!!

Ooooooh, I just have this feeling it's twins. Especially with such high beta's. You would for real win the lottery!! Good luck at your u/s and keep that baby/babies growing strong!
