15 wks today

These days i am feeling alot better. Still can't eat meat but i get to eat most of everything else. I still have a food adversion to eggs, meat and peanut butter. I also get sick if i eat an apple which i love but the babies just don't seem to. It's so weird. I still get sick every few days but the nausea is pretty much gone and after i get sick i usually feel much better.

We had our 14wk scan last week and everything seems fine with the babies after going off lovenox. One thing that i'm not sure has anything to do with anything but i when i sleep at night i have to move from left to right side as my arms go numb. I'm sure its the way i'm sleeping but of course i think it's blood flow and the lovenox was helping this. I'm sure it was but i still don't think i need it for the babies to survive.

They are 90% sure i am carrying a boy & girl. Two different techs looked and one actually said them in like 2 secs of looking at their privates. We even got to see the boys private part!! So i know for sure there is a boy in there and my dh is thrilled. Of course it's still iffy about baby B. I won't believe it until i see it at the anatomy scan. Or the 16wk Peri appt. They may tell me the same thing and at that point i'll believe it.

Not showing too much yet. I'll post a photo of todays shot. i send one to my dh every week and he loves it. He can't wait until i'm showing. I think then he can show the world that we are having a baby. Many people won't know it's twins until later or if they ask.

We are going to start getting the nursery set up to paint. We have chosen a yellow for the walls. The carpet in there is a sage green. The bedding is another story. How the heck do you decorate a nursery for boy/girl? I was thinking pink/brown for girl and blue/brown for boy. I could set the cribs on opposite sides of the room. Oh this is so exciting. I feel so incredibly blessed to be even thinking about this for real. I have dreamed about it but now it's for real!

Ahhhh..well i have to get out of bed and get ready for work ugh. How the heck am i going to go to work every day when i'm bigger when i don't want to go now!! lol....

Oh and i wanted to shout out to J one of my bloggers who just had a miracle happen! Her baby was born without the birth defect Omphalocele that the dr's originally said he had. It must have corrected itself. An absolute miracle and I am so happy for her and her DH. What a true miracle & Blessing. Congrats to you both!!!

Well i think my morning/noon/night sickness is finally disapating. I am able to eat more than i was before and my nausea isn't all day anymore if at all. I feel incredibly lucky to be feeling better and my spirits are lifting as well.

More good news is that i was able to go off the lovenox. I did test positive for 1 copy of the mutation for MTHFR but apparently all i need is extra folic acid. I am so happy that this shot is done but i also am scared that something will happen to the babies. I went off it because i was being told by 3-4 drs that i didn't need it and it would be bad to be on it due to the risk of bleeding especially when i don't have a clotting disorder. So i am trusting these dr's to be right. Sigh...i will just have to say extra little prayers everyday until we see them on thursday. The OB gave us an u/s to check on them to ease our minds. I so hope it does. It'll have been 2wks since we saw them last.

Speaking of seeing them we had the NT scan and the babies necks measured 1. something so the tech said all looks great but we have to wait for the blood test to come back. Then we have to do another blood test at 16wks that will give an even higher accuracy. It was amazing seeing the babies. Baby A who is the bottom baby was kicking baby B and baby B was elbowing Baby B lol...it was comical to watch. At that point i said baby A is a boy and baby B is a girl. Just like i have always thought. The tech then scanned baby A and it did in fact look like a boy! She was 90% sure of that. She was pretty sure she saw a scrotum and a little penis. Then she scanned baby B and sure enough she said that was probably a girl. We saw 3 lines and apparently that usually means a girl. BUT we do have to wait until prob the 16wk scan to make sure. Then once it's confirmed let the buying & decorating begin! This is what we've been looking fwd to.

I think that's about it for now. Going to get up and clean a bit. Will post after thursday scan. Please say a little prayer that they are both still ok. Thanks!

Quickie post - 13 wks

Actually 13 wks tomorrow. Had the NT scan all looks well just waiting for the bloodwork to come back. It was the most awesome ultra-sound ever! The tech is pretty sure baby A is a boy and Baby b is a girl. So that's pretty exciting.

Peri appt set up for 16 wks May 10th so i'm sure we'll find out for sure then.

Maybe able to go off lovenox...keeping fingers crossed. This shot sucks.

Still very sick...hoping it'll start to subside some so i can eat. Boy do i miss food.

Think that's it for now. Will post more when i am feeling better. Please say some extra prayers that this morning/noon/night sickness goes away!!!
