16 wks

Had a little scare on Thursday. On my way to work i started getting cramps. They didn't feel like constipation cramps but more like menstrual cramps. Then my lower back started to hurt. I decided to wait a few hours to see if they subsided...they didn't so i called my dr and they had me come in. Thankfully all checked out well. They took my urine and will send to the lab just in case i have another uti. It's funny i've never had a uti and now i might be facing my 2nd one! The babies looked good but i hated the u/s tech. She made me so worried. It was like her first day on the job or something. She acted like she had no clue what she was doing. I didn't know which heartbeat was which or if i was hearing the same one. I didn't see the screen. I just laid there and held my breath hoping my babies were still ok. Thankfully they were. She left the room and came back with my regular u/s tech. i was so relieved to have her come in. She said the other one found something and wanted her to look at it. It turns out it is just a placental lake. Quite common. The radiologist didn't see it as a big deal and neither did the good tech. I of course googled it and turns out it's really not a big deal but if it gets bigger it can be. So they'll keep an eye on it.

I am starting to show now!!! My dh is in love with my ever growing belly. I am gaining the weight back and measuring my stomach each week. I take pic on my phone each friday, weigh myself and measure and text it to my dh. He loves it. One of these days i'll post them on here so you can see the progression. At 16wks i am just about where the rest of the world might just realize i'm pregnant. It's exciting!

I go to my first peri appt on monday so i'm looking fwd to that scan. We will either videotape it or they will hopefully. I'll be so pissed if they won't do either. I called ahead to see and they weren't sure what the tech was going to say so we'll see.

I think sometimes i feel these little babies. It feels like someone is poking my stomach. I'm really not sure if it's them or not but i choose to think it is :)

I started my pregnancy journal today. I bought the Anne Geddes one. It's actually 3 books. One for Pregnancy, one for motherhood and one for the 1st 5 years. I'm so excited to write it all down and pass it on to them someday. I really want them to know about the struggles we went through to have them and how much they were wanted. In case they ever go through what we did they'll find hope in it.

They still think boy/girl. We have come up with some names so far. We have always loved loved loved Maisy for a girl and Brody for the boy. We also like Brooklyn, Kylie and peyton and Braiden, Chase and Colton for a boy. But we'll have to meet them first. We'll have several favorites in mind and once we see them and get to know them a little we'll name them.

I have to buy a new car and so does DH. I'm thinking a Dodge grand caravan for me/family and DH wants a dodge dakota with the ext cab. I really want to get this over and done with. They are 2 big purchases but they are totally necessary at this point.

Well going to bed as i am sooooo tired. I did get the 2nd tri energy boost but still get very tired at times. I have to remember i am pregnant sometimes and with twins!! I do forget. But with the belly getting bigger it'll be hard to forget after a while.

Symptoms are indigestion or acid reflux. I'm really not sure which is it is. I'll have to talk to my dr about it. I have a constant lump in my throat and down my into my chest at times. I'll def have to talk to her about this. It's very annoying.
